Forest Yoga is a full day in the presence of nature where we slowly step out of the noise of everyday life and into a state of "elementification" - my word for the deeply human ability to feel earth, water, fire, air and ether all the way into the body, the nervous system and throughout your entire being.
When we elementify, the body remembers its origins.
When we remember, we heal.
This is pure medicine - and it is free.
It is found in nature.
And within you.
Come along to ForestYoga - to reconnect, remember and let it take root again.
WHAT WE DO & WHAT UNFOLDS
During the day we hike in Söderåsen's living landscape: through rolling beech forests, along breathtaking cliffs, rippling streams and quiet places that carry memories. The walk is interspersed with simple, beautiful yoga, we get in touch with our breath, rest against the ground, move our bodies and feel the rhythm, shake ourselves off but are also in silence and are guided in meditation and deep relaxation.
I guide you and you can let go
* nature is allowed to permeate the day
* nature contact and Scandinavian roots meet Vedic yogic wisdom
* ancient human rites of movement, rhythm and reverence for the elements
are held gently, down to earth and deeply empathetic.
Yoga is simple, permissive and embodied.
No performance. No correct form.
Just listening - from the inside out
The forest does not judge.
The body does not judge.
Here you can be exactly as you are... "just be"...
and let nature do what it has always done... balance, regulate, remember.
ELEMENTIFYING – SCIENCE & WISDOM
GROUNDING / EARTHING
Research today confirms what ancient wisdom has always known:
direct contact with nature and the earth calms the nervous system, reduces inflammation, regulates stress and supports healing.
When bare skin meets the ground.
But also…
When the breath synchronizes with the trees.
When the body is allowed to let go, receive, rest safely and be held in the embrace of Mother Earth.
But beyond science lies the experience.
The memory in the body.
The sensation of merging.
Of being whole.
Healed and free.
In primal force.
With the sacred breath.
You are Whole & Complete allready - no need of becoming
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Forest Yoga is for you who long for:
You may be completely new to yoga or have practiced for many years.
Stiff, flexible, tired, curious – all of you is welcome.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
FROM THE HEART
This is not an activity.
It is a reconnection.
Welcome to remember that you are nature.
Welcome to Elementify.
Welcome home.
With warmth and reverence,
/åsa
