Yoga and Sauna at Jølstraholmen – 31mai
YOGA
Combine dinner in the restaurant with a calm Yin yoga session, followed by a sauna ritual with Eli Gro Bergby.
Eli Gro Bergby has more than 27 years of experience as a group instructor. She has practiced and taught yoga since 2008. In 2014, she completed her Global Yoga 200h training, followed by further training in Yin Yoga and Yoga for Children in 2015. She has completed several hundred hours of workshops and has also been the manager of Sunnfjord Yoga for three years. She has a deep passion for the practice.
Yin yoga is a calm, therapeutic and meditative style of yoga where seated or lying postures are held passively for 3–5 minutes or longer, primarily to stretch connective tissue (fascia), joints and tendons. The deep stretches help balance body and mind, reduce stress, and increase flexibility by focusing on areas with lots of connective tissue—especially the hips, pelvis and back.
For this session, wear warm wool socks and comfortable wool clothing (or other warm, comfortable clothing). Bring a yoga mat and preferably a blanket. You will spend a lot of time lying still on the floor.
If you don’t have a yoga mat, let us know and we will provide one.
SAUNA
A one-hour sauna session with a sauna master is a sensory ritual using essential oils, ice/water and towel techniques to distribute the steam, increase the feeling of heat, and create a special atmosphere. The ritual gradually builds in intensity over several rounds and offers deep relaxation, improved circulation, and an overall sense of wellbeing.
For this session, bring swimwear and arrive changed and ready for 19:00. Bring one towel for the sauna and an extra one for afterwards if you want to change/shower. Also bring a water bottle and neoprene socks or wool socks for the ice bathing. You may also want mittens and a hat.
Neoprene socks can be purchased from us if you don’t have any.
If you’d like to shower, you can do so here.
Can be combined with yin yoga (17:45–18:45) and/or dinner in the restaurant.
NOK 300 per person, limited spaces.
Open to everyone—men and women.
